Fashion Week!!
Only in the last 2 years have I really gotten into high end fashion. Following Guido on Runway Style hair, I'm now paying much more attention to details. Here is a link to style.com's pics of off the runway looks at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Amazing pics of shoes, hand bags, nails, hair and the details that go into high fashion. LOVE IT!! ;) It's a different perspective on Fashion Week and definitely a fashion show within itself.

Through the Looking Glass...
You can find fashion in anything. And I can't wait to see Tim Burton's/Disney's Alice in Wonderland. The hair, the makeup, the costumes!! Disney is one smart cookie. They partnered up with O.P.I. and Urban Decay to market to those who like to play makeup. O.P.I. came out with their line of Alice in Wonderland inspired colors. I'm a red fan so I'm in love with their "Off with Her Red." Give some of the shades a try!Urban Decay laid out a palette of great shadows, liners and a primer. From mild to wild, you'll love the names, Jabberwocky, Curiouser, etc. Of course the shadows are just copies from the Urban Decay line but given appropriate Alice in Wonderland names. It's a nice price at $52 for 16 shades, you can find both at Ulta.com
For even more Alice fashions look for Tom Binns jewelry (available at Boutiquetoyou.com) and Sue Wong clothing (available at Bloomingdales).

Oh no, they went there.
I've seen the Skechers Shape Ups tennis shoes. But look....
Yes, a Shape Up BOOT!!! Yes it's still Skechers!! Found on ASOS.com for $110GBP. I'm sure you can find them somewhere state side too. Just thought I'd share this find. I'm not promoting that it's a fashionable boot, but if you're going to walk around in an ugly boot you might as well be workin' those glutes!! ;)

2010 Hair Trend
My personal favorite hair trend from the runways for 2010, and one that is easy to do for and every day look, is the center part with texture. You've seen it on Kim Kardashian, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Anniston...I can keep going. Focus on volume in mid-lengths to ends by using a volumizing product (Redken Wool Shake 08!) and create texture. Spray in Wool Shake before you dry, no need to use a brush, you'll want to keep that "organic" texture. You can create more texture by spraying Wool Shake on dry hair and curling with a large curling iron...this will help polish the look and the Wool Shake will give it staying power.
I love this post from Elle.com. Orlando Pita for Diane von Furstenburg shows how to create a runway look that has this amazing texture without the use of hot tools! And it's so stinkin simple. Cornrows. A great post from Elle, great hair and can't wait to try it out. Very beachy! ;)

Plaid-e-o!
Here ya go boys! The plaid-ness is everywhere. Everyone is wearing plaid. Plaid, plaid, plaid. I like it. Of course I was a grunge, Nirvana loving kid growing up...plaid. This one is for the boys...plaid tie. How to wear...it makes a great accessory with a white shirt and slacks. Skinny? Wide? Make sure the tie is proportionate to your size. A skinny tie on a bigger guy...will only make them look bigger. So be aware when picking a tie width. Check out The Tie Bar for more looks and styles.
Wedding Dresses!!!
For the start of a new chapter in life....have a great dress on! That's a good one to live by. ;) A wedding dress is epitome of a new chapter dress. The thing is...there are SO many to pick from. The positive from that is that you can find one that fits you, your personality, your style, one that just says you. There are great resources online to search for your perfect dress and to fit into your perfect budget. Of course, brides.com is going to be your go-to site. Search what's on the runway...what's new for the season, sometimes even next season depending on your date. My personal favorite designer is Jenny Packham. www.jennypackham.com
